Today is Dr. Seuss’ 105th birthday! I spent a lot of time this past weekend surfing the web looking for a great lesson to help celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday. I found a wonderful lesson sponsored by Read Across America and Kid Thing. It included the free download of four of his most popular books, but due to technical difficulties I could not show them to my class. So I read two of his books to my students instead. I then asked them to write a letter to Dr. Seuss telling him which book they liked better and why.
I love technology, but sometimes you have to have a backup plan ready for days when technology just doesn't want to cooperate. Tomorrow is another day!
