Earth Day Grocery Project

In honor of Earth Day the third and fourth graders at Bissonet Plaza borrowed 400 paper grocery bags from Rouse's, decorated them with messages, and then returned them to the store.
On April 22 customers got a beautifully decorated grocery bag if they requested paper instead of plastic. Enjoy the video.

Dear Ms.Naugle
It was great getting to do the grocery bag design and the bumper stickers I never did know that going green would be so much fun. That was one of the most fun projects that we have ever done. I am so happy that we did that project.
Your students,
Rhiannon and Alexe

Hi Lourdes,
Sorry I didn't respond to your comment for such a long time but I posted a bunch of comments at one time and I lost track of which ones I responded to.

I'm glad you liked the project and the video. Remember to try to "be green".

I love this idea! Well done, Ms. Naugle's class.

We have several grocery stores in the area. I'm going to see if they will allow us to participate in Earth Day by decorating the bags.

:-) Hugs,
