Our target skills are:
- writing a title
- capitalizing the words in the title
- beginning with a "hook"
- indenting each paragraph 2 finger spaces
- capitalizing the first word of each sentence
- using proper punctuation
- using vivid verbs
- showing not telling our reader
- concluding with a good take-away ending such as "This reminds me of ..."

Do you know what my favorite food is? My favorite food is pasta with chicken. I lo-o-ove it. Every day when I come home from school I ask my mom to make it. She makes the best pasta and when she does I give my mom a big hug. It smells like a juicy steak. Do you think you would like it?
